Paddock Club Diaries - 2025 Belgian GP - Day 2

Sprint Race Weekends in Formula 1 are action-packed from Friday to Sunday. The teams and drivers have very limited time to get their setups right, and the fans have more action to witness on a Saturday! Even on usual race weekends, it is always an early morning start for fans and personnel on Saturdays.

In 2025, we stayed in Aachen, Germany, which offered us a shorter trip to Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. A 50-minute ride and we were in Wallonia in the Ardennes!

Enroute to the circuit :

Walking over to the Paddock Club :

The journey to the circuit was so brisk that we reached the Paddock Club before its official opening time. While my friend Yang waited for the gates to open, I decided to stroll through the support race paddock and go under the tunnel to the F1 Fan Park!

Surprisingly, there were several fans at the fan park, and the views of Raidillon were stunning!

As I walked to the Fan Park, I bumped into a famous face from the Motorsports world!

Ex-Haas F1 Team Principal, now F1 Pundit and Manager for Tech 3 in MotoGP, Guenther Steiner :

The Club Suite on Saturday morning will get busier later in the day!

Glorious views from the Club Suite :

Coffee and Croissants to kickstart the day!

Saturdays see a host of Drivers visit the Paddock Club for interviews. Lando Norris was the first to visit the suite!

After Lando left, it was time to get prepped for the F1 Sprint!

After the F1 Sprint, the guests of the Paddock Club had the opportunity to visit the Pit Lane!

Post the Pit Lane walk, it was time to enjoy some lunch in the Paddock Club :

While enjoying the Classic Cars track parade!

A 30-minute lull and then the F1 Qualifying buildup began!

The drivers and the Pit walls got ready for Qualifying!

Stills from Q2 :

Esteban Ocon, Oliver Bearman, Pierre Gasly, Nico Hulkenberg and Carlos Sainz Jr were eliminated in Q2.

Stills from Q3 :

Lando Norris bagged Pole Position from Oscar Piastri and Charles Leclerc!

Post-Qualifying, we were joined by Pierre Gasly for a quick Q&A :

A moment with the Frenchman :

With F1 Qualifying done and dusted, it was time to say goodbye to the Club Suite and the Alpine F1 Team hosts and head downstairs to the F1 Paddock!

The Paddock in Spa-Francorchamps is expansive and two-tiered. Easily the largest paddock in Europe!

Always nice to get photographed in the Paddock :

No visit to the Paddock is successful without meeting F1 Drivers and we managed to meet a few despite the Paddock being two-tiered.
