Paddock Club Diaries - 2025 Belgian GP - Day 3

Raceday finally arrived, and we woke up to clear skies in Aachen. However, the weather forecast at Spa-Francorchamps predicted gloomy skies & a rain-hit Sunday. We headed out early to avoid the traffic, and as we neared the circuit, the skies opened!

We had an action-packed Sunday with two feature races and the Formula 1 Grand Prix!

Aachen to Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps :

Despite an early start, we encountered some traffic but thankfully reached the Paddock Club early in the morning.

Due to poor visibility, adverse weather conditions and rain, the F3 Feature Race got cancelled. The weather got better, and the F2 Feature race got underway.

Stills from the F2 Feature Race :

Post the F2 race, we were joined by the 2nd Alpine Driver in the Club Suite for an interview :

While Colapinto got mobbed for pictures and autographs, an ex-F1 legend quietly went by the "new age" fans. The man was none other than JB!

2009 F1 World Champion Jenson Button!

We then headed downstairs for the final pit lane walk of the weekend :

Post the Pit Lane Walk, we got an opportunity to spend some time in the Paddock :

It was great to meet fellow motorsport enthusiasts and friends who are guests of Scuderia Ferrari :

We also got to meet Raymond Vermeulen, Max Verstappen's Manager :

After spending some time in the Paddock, it was time to have a quick meal before getting a spot for the race start :

The Pit Lane Light went green, and the drivers headed out for their sighting laps :

The Rains were infrequent but strong enough to bring out the gazebos as the mechanics prepped the cars for the race start :

The drivers gathered to the front of the grid for the National Anthem :

The heavy rains caused the Race Stewards to decide that the race would commence behind the Safety Car.

The drivers went around the circuit behind the Safety Car, but due to Standing Water, the Formation Lap got delayed, and the cars returned to the Pit Lane.

The Rains returned and intensified, bringing out the Gazebos again :

The Ardennes Forest and Hills play havoc, and after a deluge, the sun was out again! After a prolonged Dry Spell, it seemed like the Race would finally get underway :

Our Prayers were answered, and a start time was announced! It was time for drivers to get ready again :

We hurriedly returned ot the Paddock Club since the race ended near the Paddock Club's closing hours. After our final farewells, I headed downstairs to the Paddock to meet some more F1 Drivers from past and present!

Franco Colapinto, BWT Alpine F1 Team :

Jacky Ickx, former Belgian motorsports legend!

A Selfie with Lando Norris, well, not really!

Isack Hadjar, Visa Cash App RB F1 Team :

We didn't have much time in the Paddock since the logistics teams had to tear it down and commence sending consignments to Hungary, which was a week later.

As we walked back to the exit, I had the opportunity to jump onto the Track and cherish a few moments at this iconic track!

Farewell Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps... until next time :(

As always, I have also compiled a video about my Sunday Experience.
